I will have new work available for The Coors Western Art Exhibit & Sale, Jan 7-9, 2026. The Coors Western Art Exhibit & Sale is a premier annual event and gallery exhibition held in conjunction with the National Western Stock Show, a renowned nonprofit organization in Denver, Colorado.

2026 Plein Air Painters of America, Mt. Carmel, Utah, at the Maynard Dixon property, May 18–22.
Join the Plein Air Painters of America (PAPA) to paint in “Dixon Country.” This biannual workshop is offered through Scottsdale Artists’ School. The 2026 workshop will take place at the historic Maynard Dixon property. Instructors – Kathleen Dunphy | Eric Jacobsen | Chris Morel | Michael Obermeyer

Chris Morel Plein Air Workshop, Guild of Berkshire Artists, MA, June 10- 20, 2026
Chris Morel, award-winning Plein Air Painter, is returning to the Berkshires (West Stockbridge) for a three-day workshop on June 19-21, 2026.
The workshop is for all skill levels from beginner to professional. We will work outside on location, weather permitting. A material list will be provided. Space is limited to 15, so sign up early.

2026 Morel Fall Workshop, Taos NM, Sept 22-24, 2026
I will again teach my 3 day Plein Air workshop in the mountains outside of Taos NM, September 22-24, 2026.
This workshop will take place in the heart of the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains just 19 miles south of Taos. The workshop is for all skill levels from beginner to professional. We work outside all week.

Morel Studio is open for the “2024 High Road Studio Tour”
Please visit my studio Sept 19-20 and Sept 26-27, 2026 for the annual “High Road Studio Tour”. My studio is located at 5330 Hwy 518, Vadito NM. It is exactly 1 mile north of Sipapu Ski Area on Hwy 518. So head towards Sipapu and you’ll find me just before the resort. I’ll be open 9am-5pm each day, so come see me.
